Where does the name of Akdag Çivril Mountain come from?
The name Çivril is a description of the Chagatai Turkish used by a group of Chagatai Turks who migrated to Anatolia during the Seljuk period. The meaning of the word “Çivril” is “the place with abundant water”, “wet place”. The mountain is named as “Çivril Mountain” by local people because it has a wetland.
